About Timberwood Industries Inc.

In 1983 Timberwood acquired the business of "Marlin Brinser" which was founded in 1948. Marlin Brinser was the supervisor of music for the Irvington, New Jersey schools. He was an innovative person with great ideas. He:
~ ~ Established the "Books On Music" business supplying schools, universities, libraries and individuals world wide.
~ ~ The importing of 20th. century violins, violas, cellos from Italy, the so called "modern Italian instruments".

When we acquired the company, we continued with "Books On Music", resurrected the violin business and in 1986 added Tonewood (the wood used to make violins) to our product line.

Timberwood has always emphasized and established the reputation for quality: quality of product, as well as, service. This is the way we will continue to operate.
