Tonewood
We carry premium Tonewood: Bosnian maple and Italian spruce. We take two trips a year to Italy and the Balkans, to select the wood. After examining thousands of backs, taps, neck blocks and rib stock, every piece is carefully selected.
Modern Italian Instruments
Every instrument we acquire must be original, in very good condition and beautiful sounding. Over the years, we have developed a close relationship with individuals, collectors and makers in Italy. If you are looking for an instrument made by a particular Italian luthier of the 20th Century, we can help you locate one.
History
In 1983 Timberwood Industries, Inc. acquired the business of Marlin Brinser which was founded in 1948. Marlin Brinser was the supervisor of music for the Irvington, New Jersey schools. He was an innovative person with great ideas.
